Below is a list of frequently asked questions. Well, they are a mix of
questions that are frequently asked and questions that may eventually
 qualify as frequently asked.

How do I apply for hosting?

With funding from NSF-DUE 0920341 the MAA offers limited hosting of
WeBWorK courses for faculty in the mathematical sciences. Hosting will
be limited to 100 students per institution.

Institutions or faculty who need more substantial hosting are encouraged
to explore installing WeBWorK on your own server. WeBWorK is open source
software and is available for download. If you are considering
downloading WeBWorK, we encourage you to connect with the IT support on
your campus as well as the WeBWorK user forum.

By providing this service our goals are to develop a sustainable
hosting capacity, to continue development of WeBWorK, and to make WeBWorK
easier to use and a more effective instructional tool. As a condition of
hosting, you may be asked to provide feedback on your experience.

The WeBWorK project not only provides an extremely useful pedagogical tool,
but as an open source project is not bound to one textbook or publisher, and so
embodies the flexibility to be tailored to each adopter"s needs. No commercial
product can offer this kind of fine tuning. I have heard publishers pitch their products
which have similar capabilities, but they inevitably pale by comparison.
