This is an aspect of the browser and the operating system.   There is nothing
that WeBWorK
can do about this except to get rid of all use of Java Applets.

LiveJar, or any other java applet, won't run at all on Chrome and MacOSX --
thanks to the
policies of Chrome, Oracle and Apple.  If you update your java system you can
get it to run on 
Firefox.

And of course none of the Java applets will run on iPads.

We badly need a replacement for LiveJar. Otherwise we haven't used many Java
applets
