Hi,

This is not a bug in the software.  It is most likely an incorrect password for
the student in your course.

If your course is southwesternu-mat52-254-01 the instructor can reset the
password from the Classlist editor page.  

The correct place to report server errors for courses1.webwork.rochester.edu 
is to 
webwork at maa.org -- however  resetting a password or adding a student, is done
by the instructors and not by the site administrator at MAA. 

Suspected software bugs should be reported to this bugs.webwork.maa.org
address.
