Thanks for this. If I can just delete course.conf from that list, I think I
will, and that will suit our needs.

I believe there are many threads in the forums, setup guides on the internet,
and places in the wiki that tell people how to address this issue or that by
adding this line or that to course.conf. So this change might have unforeseen
consequences. Also for an instructor do who is being hosted, it can be harder
to reach/bother an admin who isn't local.
