Several related ideas were discussed at the Portland code camp. The ideas
are related in that they all involve some kind of documentation/manual:
- VPAT (make an "official" VPAT part of the 2.10 release)
- Greg's accessibility guide (it's in the Google Drive; it is a more
human guide to accessibility issues than a VPAT)
- more helpful help information in ww3
- user guide for instructors (make Alex's existing guide apply more
broadly than to just PCC) that is linked from an instructor's view
- release notes are currently only on the wiki (I believe and not
packaged with the release)
How do we feel about making a subfolder of webwork2/ (called
documentation?) that keeps all of this in the distribution? Part of the
release cycle would be a review of the contents here to force an update of
the VPAT, etc.
Or does a home for this content already exist?
I am trying to work my way through the mountain of information from the
camp, and right now I have reached Greg's accessibility guide. I don't know
where to put it. Kaela suggested the wiki at
http://webwork.maa.org/wiki/Accessibility, and I think that spot is great.
But I am worried about lack of maintenance in the wiki compared to
maintenance of the distribution. And I'm wondering if the distribution is
the place to keep everything and have the wiki simply embed content from
the repo on Github. Opinions?
