Manuele Santoprete is a tenured associate professor of mathematics at Wilfrid Laurier University where his research is supported by grants from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada.

Prior to joining Laurier, he was a Visiting Assistant Professor of mathematics at University of California, Irvine.

He received his B.S. in Physics from University of Pisa in 1999, and his PhD in Applied Mathematics under the direction of Florin Diacu in 2003, at University of Victoria.

He was the recipient of the Governor's General Gold Medal in 2004 for achieving the highest academic standing at the graduate level. While a doctoral student at University of Victoria, he held a Howard E. Petch Research Scholarship (2001-2002) and a University of Victoria Fellowship (1999-2003).
