Highlights:

• Co-Founder and President of MyText Software and Developer of MyMathText.org • Tenured Full-Time Math Professor teaching online Statistics and Mathematics; Evergreen Valley College, San Jose, California. Adjunct Statistics and Math Professor at U.C. Santa Cruz Extension in Santa Clara, San Jose State University and Gavilan College. • As an Academic Peer Reviewer for College Open Textbooks I assessed the quality and suitability of the textbooks and verified the alignment of the textbook with course curriculum in math and statistics. • As the “Math Lead” for the “CAHSEE Project” I wrote online test, video and course content for the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) special project funded by the California Office of Education, State Chancellor’s Office. • I have over twelve years of experience teaching online mathematics and statistics at a variety of California Colleges and Universities and taught High School Mathematics for nine years. • I have given many talks at state and national math conferences on the use of technology in the teaching of online and web mediated mathematics and statistics. • I am on the Board of the California Mathematics Council, Community Colleges. • I served as President of the California Mathematics Council, Community Colleges for 2006 and 2007.

Recent Honors and Awards

• “President’s Award” 2010 from the California Mathematics Council, Community Colleges • I was honored to receive a 2009 – 2010 full academic year sabbatical from Evergreen Valley College. • I received a Technology 2008 Focus Award from the State Chancellor’s Office of California Community Colleges and the Foundation for California Community Colleges for my work in developing online course content. • In 2007 I was awarded the 'College Teacher of the Year Award' by the Santa Clara Mathematics Association for my innovative work using technology in my online and web mediated math classes.
