I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Towson University. My first experience with WeBWorK at the University of Michigan, where I was a post-doc for three years (2004-2007). Initially, I was a bit intimidated by the instructor interface of WeBWorK, but after I got used to it, and especially after I saw the benefit of the program for the students, I became a big fan.

When I came to Towson, I asked Arnie Pizer and Mike Gage to host my courses (Precalculus, for the first semester, and Caclulus during the next) on their server. It worked out well, so I decided to install WeBWorK at Towson University.

The hardest thing was to get the University's OTS (the organization that manages all the computers on campus, almost entirely Windows-oriented) to allow the outside access to the server. Installation itself was very easy, I simply followed the step-by-step instructions on the Wiki site. The server itself is very stable (at least for the load here), I was able to run it on a virtual machine sitting inside an old Dell. Now the VM is hosted on one of the OTS servers.
