I have a BS degree from the California Institute of Technology and MA and PhD degrees from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. I taught at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa and Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University) in Kirksville, Missouri, then spent ten years teaching in Thailand, first at Chulalongkorn University and then at Mahanakorn University of Technology. In 2001 I returned to the U.S. and took a position at Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska, where I have been ever since.
