I am currently working on localizing WeBWorK into Greek with the help of various volunteers.

Phase 1: Translated the WeBWorK interface into Greek. Status: Completed. The translation was completed by Dr. Kyriaki Kourouni and her students from the Department of English of Aristotle University.

Phase 2: Translate problems from the WeBWorK Open Library into Greek. The emphasis is on problems that will be used by students in Grade 12 of the Greek educational system. Status: Completed. The translation includes about 2500 problems, mainly Calculus problems. The translation was completed by about 40 volunteers, the majority of whom were students at the Aristotle University.

Phase 3: Fix some technical problems that arose during Phase 2. Example: Can course names or assignment names be in Greek? Can the trigonometric functions sin(x), cos(x) etc. be translated into Greek, so that students enter their answers in Greek? Can the variable "x" be translated into the Greek "χ" (chi)? Status: Plan to work on this during the 2022-23 academic year.

Phase 4: Translate problems from the WeBWorK Open Library into Greek. The emphasis is on problems that will be used by students in Grade 11 of the Greek educational system. Status: Plan to work on this during the 2023-24 academic year.

Phase 5: Translate problems from the WeBWorK Open Library into Greek. The emphasis is on problems that will be used by students in Grade 10 of the Greek educational system. Status: Plan to work on this during the 2024-25 academic year.
