The special session on WeBWorK
at the MAA summer MathFest was a rousing success. I found it
particularly satisfying since most of the talks were given by
professors from institutions other than the U of R who have adopted and
extended WeBWorK in various ways.
Speaking were
- Tom Shemanske, Dartmouth College
- Mark Schmitt, Detroit Country Day School
- William Wheeler, Indiana University
- William Ziemer Jr., California State University at Long Beach
- Vicki Roth (U of R) and Angelo Segalla (California State University at Long Beach)
After the session, most of the participants adjourned to a
nearby Burlington restaraunt for food and drinks. A lot of information
and encouragement was exchanged during the two day meeting. I think it's a movement!
