What is the notation for nth root. For example, if I want to represent a^(m/n) power using a radical symbol. Thanks. Also where can i find doumentation on latex notation. (an easy reference)

\sqrt[3]{2} will give you the cube root of 2.

There are also several books. I'm not sure what people recommend.
