The University of Rochester graduation took place a little over a week
ago and we say farewell to two long time undergraduate contributers to
the WeBWorK project:
Liam Rafferty has worked for us since the summer of 2002. He has
authored many of the linear algebra problems in our collection and many
of you know him as the caretaker of our hosting facility for WeBWorK
courses at hosted.webwork.rochester.edu. He will be attending graduate
school in mathematics at the University of Montana next year.
Robert Van Dam first worked for us in the summer of 2000 on the WeBWorK
1 project. He took some time off from college and then returned to work
for us during the summer of 2003 and 2004. Building on the work of Sam
Hathaway and Dennis Lamb, he is responsible for much of the instructor
user interface design -- particularly the Homework Sets Editor and the
Classlist Editor among other projects. Robert will be attending
graduate school in computer science at Brigham Young University next
year.
We thank both Robert and Liam for their contributions to WeBWorK over
the last several yours and wish them the best of luck in their future
endeavors. Posted by Michael Gage on 5/23/05; 9:16:46 PM from the dept.
