I could not find any recent posts or even old posts with success story about webwork2 under apache2/mod_perl2. Was anyone able to make it work?

I have Fedora core 4 with apache2/mod_perl2 and it feels strange to revert to apache1/mod_perl1 before I start installing webwork.

Hi Andras,

To my knowledge we don't yet have a definitive success story. I believe my comments lst year in http://webhost.math.rochester.edu/webworkdocs/discuss/msgReader$2186#2255 are still true. See also http://webhost.math.rochester.edu/webworkdocs/discuss/msgReader$2976

If you can get Safe.pm to work with apache2/mod_perl2 then likely the whole package will work. The problems will not be directly with WeBWorK but with the CPAN packages that WeBWorK uses.

I'm afraid that I can't promise to try to install this myself -- we're a bit short on personell and funding this summer -- I will be happy to help with advice for any WeBWorK specific difficulties. If you try, please post your experiences.

Take care,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Thank you for the feedback, and to make it clear: I know that the problem is with apache2 and mod_perl2 and not with webwork.

I will try the installation and let you know if something good comes out of it.

Best regards,

Andras
