Robert Molzon from the University of Kentucky has created and made
available for download a WebWork Live CD.
The live cd is based on Knoppix 4.0. This CD will
allow you to turn any x86 computer into a webwork server in a matter
of minutes. It can be used as a demo, as a backup, or even as your
main server. Since Apache runs in memory after starting, you should
see very little if any slowdown in performance. For more information
go to http://www.webwork2.ms.uky.edu/
The Live_CD page contains information on setup and download.
I have used this Live CD to turn a laptop into a full WeBWorK server
for use in demonstrations. It is truely impressive that this can be
done in a few minutes without installing any additional software. Posted by Arnold K. Pizer on 9/14/06; 3:16:57 PM from the dept.
