Deleting
a problem from a problem set after it is assigned has always been
somewhat risky. it changes the numbering of the problems and
potentially changes how they are scored. The results can be
unpredictable -- particularly in WeBWorK 1.x. WeBWorK2 behaves somewhat
better -- but I haven't experimented a lot with deleting problems and
it's affect on the scoring. Usually we achieve the effect of deleting a problem by reassigning its weight to 0 so that the problem doesn't count. Another possibility is to mark all of the students answers to the problem correct (for students this is psychologically preferable :-) ) Hope this helps. -- Mike |
