Note that if we set local not to follow sym links (which I favor), people can still follow sym links by setting up a custon button following e.g. the instructions in http://webwork.maa.org/wiki/Installation_Manual_for_2.4_on_Ubuntu_10.04#Set_up_the_Rochester_and_Union_Libraries
