It appears I needed to edit:
/opt/webwork/webwork2/conf/defaults.config
/opt/webwork/webwork2/conf/localOverrides.conf
/opt/webwork/webwork2/conf/localOverrides.conf.dist
to include
$problemDefaults{showMeAnother} = -1;
