I'm using WeBWorK 2.10, installed earlier this year; my timezone is "Australia/Melbourne". However, WW insists on using EST when I set dates and times for release and due dates of homework sets.
This means, for example, that if I choose Sunday April 12 11.59pm as my release time, WW turns it into Monday April 13 2.59pm. This is confusing for both me and my students.
As far as I know my system (Ubuntu 14.04) is correctly set for the local timezone, but for some reason I can't get WW to see it. I *think* I've set all the correct values in the various config files. The value is also set (or at least listed) on the Course Configuration page. But times I enter seem turned into EST, and then I'm not sure what happens to them.
Any advice?
