There have been four previous conferences this summer on May 24, June 25, July 11 and July 25. The rough minutes for those meetings can be found in the shared folder above. (June 25, July 11, July 25)

This meeting will elect 6 officers for the executive board of The WeBWorK Project: president-elect, president, past-president, program manager,secretary, treasurer. This structure is loosely based on MAA’s SIGMAA chapters and is intended to guide continued development of the community supporting WeBWorK software. The details of these offices, the persons tentatively nominated to fill them (there are some gaps) are in the July 25 minutes. We will also choose “assistants” for the program manager, secretary and treasurer, people who can step in if the office holder is unavailable, and who are likely candidates to step into those positions in the future. There are also a number of other appointed positions (also with some gaps) which will be responsible for much of the week-to-week work in keeping the organization running and in improving the software.

The meeting agenda will consist of reviewing the duties of the offices, considering any additional nominations and selecting the 6 executive office holders. This is the initial push to get our organization off the ground so procedures used for this meeting will be more informal than the eventual official rules for selecting officers and don’t necessarily set precedent.

Anyone who considers themselves part of the WeBWorK community can participate in this meeting and in selecting the officers. To give us some idea of who we are as an organization please add your name, email and affiliation(if any) (and other optional information) to the excel spread sheet at:

If you received an email notice about the webwork conference on Aug 15 then you are probably already listed in the spread sheet.
