We have a large number of "pre-cooked" problem sets geared to Stewart's Calculus. I edited the set definition files so that they can use the shared library and imported them into a class using the File Transfer and Hmwk Sets Editor tabs. These sets have names like setStewart_02_01, setStewart_02_02, ... for section 2.1, 2.2 ... etc.

When I go to the Library Browser tab and use

Browse From: "< Select a Problem Set >",

OR

Adding Problems to Target Set: "< Select a Set For This Course >",

the problem sets I have imported show up in the pop-up menu in no particular order that I can determine (although it is the same for both menus).

For example, I have the order 02_09, 01_06, 09_01, 03_11, etc. I experimented, and changing the open and close dates doesn't seem to have any effect on the order. With 30 pre-cooked sets + quizzes, etc., this can make it quite difficult to find what you're looking for. Is there any way to force a particular sort order (preferably by name or by open date in my case) for problem sets in these pop-up menus?

I'll have it sort by name. That seems to be the most natural sort criteria

There's a routine for sorting problem sets by name that's somewhat clever about sorting numbers numerically in Utils.pm.

Cool. Now the cvs version uses that.
