Alberto Candel - setAlgebra Problem typos  9/24/2004; 1:22:59 PM (reads: 593, responses: 0) I think the following problems from setAlgebra have typos in their solutions. (Downloads are dated 7/27/2004.) setAlgebra12EqnsOtherTypes/solveSqrt.pg I think the random choices for $a and$d should both be positive, or have the same sign. setAlgebra13Inequalities/p10.pg I think the solution accepted should be [$c,$a)U($a,$d] setAlgebra13Inequalities/srw1_7_9.pg I think the solution should be with right closed bracket. setAlgebra01RealNumbers/lhp1_79-82.pg This is not a typo, but I think the wording of the problem should be more imperative about using the vertical bars for absolute value. Or make the problem accept two solutions (I don't know how to do this). Of course, I could looked up the code before setting the problem, but that is a practice I wouldn't like to make systematic. Thank you, Alberto <| Post or View Comments |>
