For some reason a couple of the problems on the my first assignment have missing equations. The equations do appear when a hard copy is created, but not in the normal viewing mode. When I reviewed the problems in my account they all worked fine (and still do) but in the student accounts they do not appear.

I had my account updated to the new database, but am using my old homework sets. I don't know if that is causing the problem. I am running the class on the University of Rochester sever.

Thanks for your help, Cameron

Can you tell me which students are having problems? I'll take a look at their sets.

Hi Cameron,

I don't see this problem, at for example: http://hosted.webwork.rochester.edu/webwork2/sandiego_mth151/0/6/?user=gage&effectiveUser=jplatt

Are they by any chance using MSIE as a browser? If so read about the peek-a-boo bug (sigh) (e.g. http://www.positioniseverything.net/explorer/peekaboo.html) although it usually appears in a slightly different way. (See also http://bugs.webwork.rochester.edu/show_bug.cgi?id=769 ).

Possible Fixes: 1. use a different browser 2. Use jsMath mode instead of images mode.

We have tried various ways to work around the MSIE problem, but haven't found one that is will work all the time without causing other side effects.
