those of you who would rather download the problem libraries as
tarballs rather than download them via CVS, we have created tar balls
of all the individual libraries available via the CVS at Rochester.
There is also one big tarball which contains all the libraries.
We will update these tarballs from time to time but for those of you
who want keep your copies of the libraries up to date, we recommend
that you download then via CVS.

Note that all downloaded tarball file names should end with ".tar.gz"
and they should be extracted with the command "tar -xzf filename".
Some browsers (e.g MSIE) change the file name so that it ends in
".tar.tar". In this case rename the files so that they end in ".tar.gz"
before extracting.
