For those of you who would rather download the problem libraries as tarballs rather than download them via CVS, we have created tar balls of all the individual libraries available via the CVS at Rochester. There is also one big tarball which contains all the libraries.

We will update these tarballs from time to time but for those of you who want keep your copies of the libraries up to date, we recommend that you download then via CVS.

See Problem Libraries for a description of the libraries and links to their CVS repositories and also How to access the CVS repositories.

Note that all downloaded tarball file names should end with ".tar.gz" and they should be extracted with the command "tar -xzf filename". Some browsers (e.g MSIE) change the file name so that it ends in ".tar.tar". In this case rename the files so that they end in ".tar.gz" before extracting.

Here are the tarballs:

National Library Collection.
University of Rochester Math Problem Library.
University of Rochester Physics Problem Library.
University of Rochester Grade 8 Math Problems.
Arizona State University Math Problem Library.
Dartmouth College Math Problem Library.
Detroit County Day School Math Problem Library (High School).
Indiana University Math Problem Library.
Northern Arizona University Library.
The College of New Jersey Math Problem Library.
Union College Math Problem Library.
Ohio State Math Problem Library.
SUNY Stony Brook Computer Science Problem Library.
University of New Hampshire Math Problem Library.
University of New Hampshire High School Problem Library.

Tarball containing all the above libraries.

As far as I can see the tar file for rochester_physics_problems is empty, as I think is the CVS repository. Is this intentional or has something been accidently deleted?

On a related point I have tried to follow the directions at:

http://devel.webwork.rochester.edu/twiki/bin/view/Webwork/WeBWorKCVSReadOnly

to access the CVS repository but I am always asked for a pasword. Any ideas what is wrong?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for the heads up. The CVS repository for rochester_physics_problems is in fact empty. We will try to re-populate it.

I'll let Sam respond to your CVS password question.

The CVS repository for rochester_physics_problems has been re-populated and the tarballs updated.

Sam has changed the way the CVS readonly system works and has verified his changes. See http://devel.webwork.rochester.edu/twiki/bin/view/Webwork/WeBWorKCVSReadOnly for instructions.
