Hi,

I have two users, one with a 6 letter username with a permission level of 0 (student), and another with a two letter username, with a permission level of 5 (TA). The two letter username happens to be the last two letters of the 6 letter username

When I (the admin) act as the user with the two letter username, and click on "Show Past Answers" for a question, then in fact the past answers for the student with the five letter username appears.

Can this be fixed? What effects does this have? What can be done to avoid this in the future?

This is clearly a bug. If you can report this using the "report bugs" link in the left margin of webwork we'll see that this gets put before the right people.
