list solutions to periodic equations

Having had a look at PeriodicAnswers1 for how to formulate question so that a student can give any answer to periodic equation. I was wondering if anyone has authored or has any insight into authoring trig questions where the answer(s) would be a list of solutions for a particular interval of the function argument. For example

calculate all the solutions to cos(\theta) = 1/2  for -2\pi < \theta < 2\pi

Thanks in advance for any help

Hi Zak,

One example of what you're looking for is done using if-then-else code blocks:

Library/LoyolaChicago/Precalc/Chap7Sec2/Connally3-7-2-41a-Trig-identities.pg
Library/LoyolaChicago/Precalc/Chap7Sec2/Connally3-7-2-41b-Trig-identities.pg

I am sure there are other examples like this in Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 of Library/LoyolaChicago/Precalc.

Best regards,
