Why my homework set not in templates?

Why my homework set not in templates?

I am trying to reuse some HW sets from a past course. I can see that they are saved as sethw1.def, sethw2.def and so on in templates (available through File Manager). However, the only file for HW #4 is sethw4.def.bak, even though I can display HW set #4 in Homework Sets Editor and even though I am sure I never deleted sethw4.def.

(I edited that set from some older set, before assigning it to students.)

My second question is: How can I save  my HW set #4 available in Homework Sets Editor to a .def file?

Homework sets are not saved in the .def files.  They are saved in the database.  You can create the .def files by exporting the homework sets from the hmwk sets manager.
