is about $100 for people at educational institutions. There is a
"client" version in beta testing at radio.userland.com at http://radio.userland.com which is free (for now) and might work for this purpose.
Among many things that Frontier does, it works like AppleScript on a
Macintosh. I have a series
of scripts running in Frontier which will package the text of a
problem, ship it to MacPerl which runs the guts of WeBWorK
(PGtranslator, courseScripts and such) and returns the rendered problem
which is displayed in a browser. It's currently good for proof reading
while you are developing a problem, but not for extensive testing
beyond that. It's also not that fast -- it can take more than 5 seconds
to render a page.
I'm willing to send you the Frontier scripts and a brief description of
what they are supposed to do, but I won't have time to give much
support beyond that. The scripts work on my machine :-) -- but they are
very far from bullet proof.
