So I ran the script but got this when I logged in to any courses

You also need to upgrade courses from the admin course.

The weird thing is that I can never get the admin course to upgrade

the others are fine

Many directory issues are not repaired by the upgrade, and need to be manually fixed.  When you do the upgrade in the browser UI it should give you more information on what directories have issues.  Look at that output, and manually fix them.

Hey Glen.

Where can I find out how to fix the issues and what are they "suppose" to be in the directory or other permissions? any docs on them?

If it is a permissions error, then running the commands in https://webwork.maa.org/wiki/Installation_Manual_for_2.18_on_Ubuntu#Set_File_and_Directory_Permissions will fix it.

If there is a missing directory, then use mkdir to create it.

Hi Glenn

I figured it out and it was simple. the cause is because I am colourblind :-) the error link is in red.. I am colourblind green and red so it was hard for me to pick out the red amongst the list :-)

now all I have to fix is that check_latex error.. and the sending of email
