Hello folks.

I saw there is now an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) for WW 2.19.

Are there schools currently doing this and would like to get their feedback.

Instead of trying to upgrade our 2.16 that is on RHEL 7.8 to WW 2.19 and on to an the latest RHEL 9 ourselves (i.e me), I’d like to suggest to leadership to consider and use this instead rather than trying to find alternatives and fiddling with RHEL. Our security team does not want us to use non-RHEL repositories so it’s a bit more challenging.

I was also wondering who takes care of security if there is an OS patch by Ubuntu? And how it is applied? Do we just do it ourselves and keep an eye on it on a regular basis for updates like we do automatically for our RHEL and Windows servers?

Anyway, is it relatively “easy” to use the same WW 2.16 database, back it up and restore it on the WW 2.19 running as AMI? Is there a doc for it? Or do we just login to the WW 2.19 db and restore it there?

Thank you!
