Is there a way to have the students enter their answers into a matrix full of answer boxes?

Dear Barbra,

Yes. Look at problem setLinearAlgebra2Matrices/ur_la_2_3.pg in the problem bank.

There is one restriction though, as noted in the text of that problem. One must use formatted-text mode.
