AIM WeBWorK workshop (August 2007)

Discussions focused on the content of the question, more than the particular technique/ type of WeBWorK question employed in asking it. Best practices on using WeBWorK questions effectively in pre-calculus. There will be some discussion of technique as well since pre-calculus questions include a concern of the form of an answer as well as whether it is equivalent to the correct answer. In particular WeBWorK's usual method of testing that functions are equivalent by evaluating at several points is not sufficient if one is testing certain pre-calculus skills such as factoring.
