I was born on December 23rd, 1966, in Imperia (Liguria, Italia). I lived and studied there until I was eighteen. In November 1985 I went to Genoa (Genova), where I attended the University. I earned my degree on November 23rd, 1989 , defending a Master thesis in Computational Number Theory. About a year later I moved to Turin (Torino), for my Ph.D. studies under the direction of Alberto Perelli, and I successfully defended my Doctoral thesis in Rome in January 27th, 1996. Then I had several grants from the C.N.R. and a postdoctoral grant by the University of Genova. In 1998 I won a competition for a position as Assistant Professor (Ricercatore) in Padua (Padova), officially in the subject of Mathematical Analysis. I moved there soon afterwards. Starting from 2004 I am one of the participants of the Erasmus Mundus Master program ALgebra, Geometry And Number Theory (ALGANT) by the Universities of Bordeaux, Leiden, Paris Sud (Paris 11) and Padova, see http://www.math.unipd.it/~algant/ . In 2004 I wrote, jointly with my colleague and friend Alessandro Zaccagnini, a book on Cryptography: A. Languasco, A. Zaccagnini - Introduzione alla Crittografia - Ulrico Hoepli Editore, 2004 (Italian). In June 2006 I won a competition for the habilitation as Associate Professor in Mathematical Analysis and in October 2006 I was hired as such from the Faculty of Statistical Sciences, University of Padova.
