I am currently professor and chair in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Eastern Illinois University after teaching at Middlebury College, Wilfrid Laurier University, McMaster University, Williams College, and Dartmouth College. I wrote my thesis in algebraic topology and have also worked and taught in geometry, computer science and algebra. I have been using computer algebra systems in my classes since the late 1980s, I am a huge fan of dynamic geometry packages, and a devotee open source development. Currently I an the MAA governor for the Illinois Section and a member of the MAA Committee on Technologies in Mathematics Education.
