After the due date of a homework set, one of our faculty here felt that the tolerance on the answer of a problem was too strict. So the tolerance for that problem was modified. However, the students' record were not updated automatically. He went to the "view student progress" page and identified a student who would benefit from this modification. After unchecked the "Do not record Answers", he resubmitted the student' answer. However, the record would not updated since it was after the due date. At the end, he had to manually edit the score page for the assignment set.

Is there a way to turn this feature on? Since this feature is for the super user so it may not be relevant if it is before or after the due date. Thanks.

Jun

Hi Jun,

There is no way to turn this feature on. The professor can submit an answer for the student, but it is recorded only if it is submitted before the due date.

There are several things that a professor can do.

1. The professor can give the student an extension and then submit an answer or have the student redo the problem.

2. The professor can edit the student's data in the database (Item 9 Examine or modify data for an individual student on the Professor Page).

3. The professor can manually edit the scoring page as your professor did.
