I am having trouble saving screen and paper header files edited via the web interface inside the Professor page. When I try to save I get an error message telling me that the name of the file does not end in pg. This message occurs for both "Save" and "Save As". However, I have given the file names the pg extension. I should note that editing the set definition files via the web seems to work correctly.

Any help would be apprciated.

I can't duplicate this. It works fine for me. Perhaps there are some invisible characters in your file names?

Let me ammend my previous post slightly. When WeBWorK creates the popup list of candidate header files for editting, it does a case insensitive search. Hence header files ending with ".PG" appear in the list. However when you attempt to edit such a file, WeBWorK makes a case sensitive check of the file name, and produces the error message you cite.

Zig,

Thanks for trying. Late yesterday I found a fix. I put some default header files in the templates directory and all is well.
