We're running Webwork 1.9 and the calculus problem

setLimitsRates5Continuity/c1s1p3a.pg

doesn't display correctly on the screen (the latex code is displayed) but
the .pdf  output is correct.

Would someone please check whether this is true on their system?  I'd like
to know if this is a bug in our implementation or with the problem or something else.

Thanks,
Tom,

Hi Tom,

This bug appears on our system also. The display is correct in typset (latex2html) mode but incorrect in typeset2 mode (dvipng) and in formatted text mode (tth).

Hi,

This came up previously.  I don't know how to reference previous threads from this discussion board, but the subject was something like "math mode, TEXT, and dvipng".  In short, to have tth or dvipng notice that there is math there, it should be contained in BEGIN_TEXT/END_TEXT (or some equivalent).  Perl commands then need to be escaped in the usual way \{ command() \}.

You can use the search facility (left hand column) to search for key words. In this case John had the title exactly!
