** Using WeBWorK **

I am writing problems for middle school students. What I am about
to describe can be written in a sort of klutzy way in PGgraphmacros but I would like to know if there is a reasonble way
of using more sophistication. What I would really like is a horizontal axis with tick marks without a vertical axis. Clearly this
could be done with a horizontal line and a lot of short vertical lines.
Is there something better.
