Hello,

How do I go about converting an old webwork1.8 GDBM course to a Webwork2 Mysql-single course?

Thanks,

- cameron

Hi Cameron,

There is no slick way to do this. If I know the answers to a few of these questions I can help a little:

Are you doing this on your own server? Is a webwork2 system already set up on your server and you just want to convert an old course so that it works on webwork2? Are you using the mysql database on your server?

If you can email me a url for the course (gage@math.rochester.edu) I can take a look and offer some further advice.

Hi Cameron,

You could create a new webwork 2 "single" course and import the set definition files from the wwk1.8 course.

If the path to the problems have changed, you will need to do some editing of the set definition files before importing them. This can done easily with a script.

Lars.
