In that thread and in the wiki there is discussion of using CAS for webwork authentication. Some of the code is in the wiki, but it is incomplete. I was curious if anyone is using CAS authentication in a production environment. If so, would it be possible to either have the code checked in to the repository, or is there another way that I can get a hold of it?

We're running all of our production system through our central authentication system. The code we're using is described on the wiki at http://webwork.maa.org/wiki/Authentication and is checked in (it's the Cosign.pm module).
I believe the UC Merced is also using their central system for authentication; I worked with them some on that, resulting in the partial documentation on their system that's there. I'm sure they could provide the working code for you if that sounds like what you need.
