Extending deadline during reduced credit period

Extending deadline during reduced credit period

If I extend a deadline during a reduced credit period, will that affect the scores of any partially completed assignments in any way?

For example, let's say I have a 10-problem assignment, 1 point per problem, that's due on the 16th for 100% credit and due on the 19th for 75% credit.  If a student starts and finishes 8 problems correctly on, say, the 17th, then he'll have 6 points.

Suppose on the 18th I push the deadlines back to the 23rd for 100% credit and the 26th for 75% credit.  Is the student's score updated automatically or will it remain at 6 points?  Thanks.

Hi Chris,

I believe it will remain 6 points. The database keeps a record of the full credit work (e.g. if a student did 3 parts of a 5 part question during the full credit time period) and the reduced credit work but it doesn't tag this information with a time stamp.
