What might be the issue here, and what remedies might we try? Connectivity problems? mysql issues? apache issues? Permissions?

We've upgraded to 2.8. After making selections for Subject, Chapter and Section in the Library Browser and clicking View Problems, there seems to be a considerable waiting time before a page of problems is loaded. We're using MathJax (images takes even longer) and Max. Shown 20. Occasionally the page that loads is empty, even when a large number of problems exist for the section chosen.
