A first guess might be that the setting of $mail{smtpServer} in the site.conf file has a value that's not working. We have mail sent by the WeBWorK server, and so have $mail{smtpServer} = 'localhost';.

I have "localhost" as you suggested.
The odd thing is my /var/log/mail.log says Postfix delivered the email fine...
