UsingWW: Help with using R in WeBWorK

I'm trying to work with ITS to get a test server running with WeBWorK 2.13 and R so I can use Rserve commands.

2.13 is installed, but on this forum thread it says to make sure that the newest version of PG is installed. http://webwork.maa.org/moodle/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=4320

I'm not sure what that means. Is this taken care of if one has followed all the procedures at http://webwork.maa.org/wiki/Installing_from_WW2.13_Ubuntu16.04_Vanilla_Virtual_Machine_Image#.WujLs6QvzIU ?

Thinking that we had done everything needed we tried out Library/UBC/SPPH/SPPH400/hw05/hw05_q01.pg from the OPL. We get this error. We get the same error for any problem we try with rserve commands.

Did you install the R server? R and Rserve need to be installed separately from WeBWorK, and the R server has to be running on the WeBWorK server so it has something to connect to.

Thanks for the response. My ITS guy had followed the instruction at the R_in_WW site.

I'm not sure what changes he has made, but today he asked me to check it out again, and the Rserve problems render and work. Now, I'll see about authoring some of my own.
