I am trying to display the set A = { 2, 4, 6, 8 }... however, I get pink screen when I try to input /{ within Latex.

Is there a way to do this?

Thank you, -Barbra Bannon

Try the standard TeX macros /lbrace, /rbrace within equations (i.e. within ( ... ) or [ ... ]) and $LB, $RB outside of equations.

It should be \lbrace and \rbrace - with backslashes before them. But actually, $LB and $RB work both outside and inside of equations.

(How can I put a backslash in this message?)

Maria.
