Last year in July I installed the newest WeBWorK on a VPS running Ubuntu 14.04. It does indeed run but at times very slowly- often it just hangs in the middle of a task, such as bringing up the next pages of problems from the OPL. I have been known to sometimes to have to log out and back in again. I installed it using the ww_install script.
I'm hoping to upgrade my server for something more powerful (more RAM, for example), and have it ready for use by my students, of which there several hundred.
I'm wondering what I should do in order to ensure that WeBWorK, once reinstalled, runs efficiently and smoothly? Or are there things to be done over and above simply running the ww_install script that make WW run better?
