I've been using webwork for several years now, and every semester without exception I get several students in my office who are worried that their homework grades on webwork seem too low. As far as I can tell, this happens because the "total grade" displayed by webwork is calculated as a percentage out of all sets that have been assigned, even if they are not due yet. Thus, as soon as a new homework set is assigned, everyone's total score drops alarmingly until they complete that set.
Is there any way to configure webwork to show total percentage grades that count only those sets that are already due?
